Shamel Shiloh, based in Fairfax, VA, is an artist who communicates the gospel message through hip hop music. Born Clinton “Lamont” Saunders “Shamel Shiloh” name represents change. He is a member of McLean Bible Church in Northern Virginia where he is actively involved in “The Rock Student Ministries”, a ministry that reaches junior high and senior high students throughout the Washington, D.C. area with Message of Jesus Christ.

Shamel Shiloh states that his goal is to give people, especially the youth and urban inner city community an alternative to all the negativity and corrupt music that plagues our airways and society.

Shamel Shiloh’s debut project is entitled He is Alive. The project includes productions by various producers such as Selrahc, Rocksoul’s Lee Jerkins who has produced hits for Out of Eden and Ki Ki Sheard to name a few, Cross Movement Record’s Mac the Doulos from Everyday Process, and Tony Stone who has produced for Holy Hip Hop heavy hitters such as Lecrae, Flame, R-Swift and many others.

Shamel Shiloh is also the founder of Holihs Music. The word Holihs conveys holiness and is Shiloh spelled backwards. Holihs Music is a company that was started to generate positive music. Within the music, the scriptures are presented and reflected in the form of Holy Hip Hop. Holihs Music encourages the youth and all of its audience with testimonies and scriptures in a lyrical manner. It is communicated that God has a plan for the listeners. This awesome plan is that of eternal life through Christ Jesus. The album “HE IS ALIVE” is a Christ centric project that revolves around Matthew 28. Holihs Music does not only want to put out good and catchy music. Holihs Music is on a mission to put out quality, positive, and soul saving music. We are committed to sharing the good news of Jesus in a relevant format. We feel an obligation to preach life to a dying world.

Within months of posting his music online Shamel Shiloh received over 20,000 hits. His music can be heard on several websites such as www.hiphopministry.com, www.gospelengine.com, www.hisholyspace.com, www.myspace.com and in rotation on several stations around the country including internet radio stations such as Praise Radio, Blazed Praise, God’z Joint Radio, Holy Culture Radio, The Live Mix Show, and the list is growing everyday.

In addition to the hip hop ministry and record label Holihs Music, Shamel Shiloh also received his bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Strayer University with a minor in Business and is also the Manager of Network Administration for a high tech firm in Northern Virginia.
